The Center maintains a staff of coders who are experienced in coding open-ended and keying closed-ended questionnaire items. CSR's computer-assisted direct data entry system using CASES software is programmable to prevent out-of-range codes and ensure consistency with data formats. Data entry is routinely 100% independently keyed and verified, and data quality is maintained by close staff supervision.
